Father’s Day Reads

June 19, 2009

dadreadingHappy Father’s Day to all our dads out there. We hope you have a wonderful day & celebrate in style. Perhaps you’ll have some time for a quick read? Just in case, here are some of our favorite dad reads…

Home Game: Bestselling author Michael Lewis (Liar’s Poker, Moneyball) recently published this sincere, occasionally hilarious, often touching memoir of life raising his three children.

Pacify Me: Comic Chris Mancini’s sarcastic, exceedingly honest first-person account and guys  to pregnancy and fatherhood. Topics on the hit list include sex, avoiding Babies R Us and navigating your wife’s hormones.

The Expectant Father: Almost an inevitable gift for new dads-to-be. Author Armin Brott seems to have cornered the market on informational fatherhood. It’s a bit dry at times, but overall good reference.

Oh Baby, the Places You’ll Go: Hands down our favorite gift for dads-to-be. Based on various Dr. Seuss books, this charming compilation is designed to be read in utero.  A great daddy-baby activity.
