The Little Engine That Could

June 14, 2009

egineCrack open this classic and step back into childhood. A train filled with toys, milk and “good things to eat” breaks down and can’t get to the children on the other side of the mountain. The train begs and begs other trains to help, but all refuse. Then along comes the bright eyed Little Blue Engine, who sees what a struggle it will be to bring the prized possessions over the mountain, but still offers to try. We’ve been known to wipe away a tear as we read aloud the iconic “I think I can-I think I can.”  Great take home message to talk about with your little one…anything is possible with the right attitude.
