valValerie Schimel (editor of LittleOneLit.com) is a full-time writer, editor and mom. She covers health, fitness, lifestyle and wellness for The Miami Herald, The Chicago Tribune, City & Shore Magazine and various local and national publications. She holds a BA in literature from Duke University and a MA in Health Communications from NYU. She’s based in Miami Beach, FL, where she spends loads of time reading with her husband and their born-to-be-a-bookworm daughter.

jodiJodi (Citrin) Greebel is a registered dietician and president of Citrition, LLC, a nutrition counseling practice in New York City. She is also the author of the book The Little Black Apron (thelittleblackapron.com). Jodi’s private practice attracts clients from across the country including models, news anchors and celebrities. In addition to private counseling, Jodi is often asked to speak at corporations, non-profit organizations, hospitals and universities throughout New York and New Jersey. Jodi is the national spokesperson for Dannon Danimals yogut. She has appeared on Good Morning America, the CW morning news, radio stations across the country such as Radio Disney and CNN International as well as in publications such as The Daily News, Cosmopolitan, Shape, Women’s Health and Kiwi Magazine. Jodi lives in Manhattan with her husband and their new son.

bekRebekah Jacobs is a  curriculum developer, travel writer and mom. After attending the University of Texas, she was accepted into Teach for America, a national teaching corps who commit two years to teach in under-resourced schools. She taught middle school in both suburban and urban school districts for 8 years. She holds a Masters in English Education from Loyola Maymount and a Masters in Literacy from Harvard University. She is based in Sicily where she spends lots of time reading to her son and learning how to navigate a stroller through Europe’s cobblestone streets.

oceanEtan Mark is a dad, husband and lawyer. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 2000, and The George Washington University School of Law in 2003.  After living in New York for a couple of years (where he met his wife), she convinced him, without any effort, to move to Miami Beach, where he currently resides with his wife, daughter, and dog.  Sometimes there are possums as well.  He is a commercial litigator with the law firm of Berger Singerman in Miami.  When he’s not lawyering, or playing with his daughter, he’s probably either reading or watching The Simpsons.  

rachelRachel Unger  is a full time mom of two adorable kiddos.  Before she became a mom she taught third grade for the Miami-Dade County Public school system for eight years.  During the eight years she spent four years teaching high risk students some of which she taught to read at the age of ten.  She won Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2000 and Teacher of the Year in 2005.  Currently she is teaching Mommy and Me classes at Temple Beth Sholom in Miami Beach specializing in classes for babies ranging in ages from 8 weeks to 18 months.  She graduated from the University of Miami with a BSED in 2000 and an MSED in 2003 with a focus in reading and learning disabilities.  When she is not teaching she is trying to balance her crazy life with a son and daughter that are a mere 18 months apart(surprise).  You can never imagine how many places your double stroller will not fit!
